Broker Connect & Post-Enrollment Health Questionnaires: What you need to know

We know how eager you are to begin utilizing Broker Connect for quoting and enrolling clients this AEP. Rest assured that as of Thursday, October 15, Plan Advisors brokers are able to quote and compare all plans that are viewable on Medicare.gov. We want you to be the model of efficiency this year and know that Broker Connect is the tool to help you achieve just that!

Here are some special tips regarding post-enrollment health questionnaires to help you get the most out of Broker Connect and your other enrollment options this AEP.

When to Use Carrier Specific Electronic Enrollment Tools

This year, certain MA carriers are providing additional compensation beyond the enrollment commission for brokers that assist beneficiaries in completing health questionnaires. Many of these carriers require both the enrollment and the questionnaire be completed through their own electronic application platform.

While Plan Advisors brokers can still utilize Broker Connect to quote and compare all carriers, when assisting clients in completion of a health questionnaire, be sure to use the correct carrier platform for both the enrollment and the questionnaire.

Below is a list of carriers that require you to use their electronic platform for enrollment and questionnaire completion to be properly compensated:

Humana Enrollments and Questionnaire Completion

It is perfectly safe to use Broker Connect for a Humana MA enrollment, even when assisting the beneficiary in the completion of a health questionnaire. That is because Humana uses a separate platform for health questionnaire completion. Below are the details:
