Who is John Dollard?
John Dollard, a “Phoenix kid”, finds that he “just keeps staying in the business” of Medicare and insurance. Before Dollard can even remember, his family packed up and made the big move from New York City to Phoenix, Arizona. To this day, John is still located in Arizona with his wife. John’s three children have scattered throughout the United States – Texas, Florida, and Illinois. However, despite being miles away, Dollard’s children and grandchildren thoroughly enjoy coming to Arizona to visit and seek new adventures to go on as a family. When John and his wife travel to see their children and grandchildren, he exclaims that they know to have a computer ready because he desires to always be a point of contact and liaison for his beloved clients. However, it is impressive to note that John’s free time is regularly spent with the sunrise at the gym – five days a week!
After Dollard received his college degree from Arizona State University, he received an opportunity to work with Anchor National Life Insurance Company in the mail room. By starting in the mail room, he was able and eager to ask questions and initiate meaningful and insightful conversations with underwriters. John claimed that his mail room experience definitely led him to where is today. He was able to learn and grasp the ins-and-outs of the insurance business. “I thought it was fun. So, I stayed,” John reminisced.
His flashback to discovering the insurance industry further proves Marc Anthony’s statement, “If you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life,” to be true.
Why Medicare Insurance?
Dollard became fully licensed in the 1970’s, and eventually became the Vice President of National Marketing. As he began to approach the time where one must begin considering Medicare options, he took an interest in it specifically. He has had his foot in the Medicare world for ten to 15 years.
